I am so excited about this course! It’s been over a year in the making, and it has really been a labour of love. My hope is to inspire students to pursue their dreams step by step with a workable plan. By working through their business from start to finish, they will learn how to:
- Generate business ideas
- Work through potential ideas to see whether they will work – logistically and financially
- Market chosen idea through different channels – both online and offline
- Manage their time to balance their business, education, and other responsibilities
- Navigate the sales tax maze in Canada
- Keep accurate records simply & easily, and fill in income tax form for sole proprietorship
- Assess their business down the road and decide what to do next

Even if a student does not plan to own their own business, chances are at some point they will either be working for one and/or running a home where great management and money skills will be a huge asset. Entrepreneurship concepts can also be applied to non-profit work where the organization’s cause or mission becomes its product.
Starting today, we have a special launch sale happening. You can purchase the course modules and workbooks all together for just $29.99 (reg. $39.98). To find out more about the course, and answers to FAQ, please click here or go to theemergingentrepreneur.com.
For those in the Ottawa area, I will also be at our local homeschool conference tomorrow (April 13th). Please stop by my booth near the main entrance and/or come to one of the workshops I’m presenting – I’d love to meet you in person! If you haven’t registered for the conference yet but would like to, here’s the link for more info: http://www.rvhea.org/index.php/events/conference-mainmenu-43.
In a future post, I’d love to tell you all about how the process of writing this course and getting it ready to sell online has impacted me. It’s been quite the journey! For now, suffice to say that it’s the middle of the night as I write this (even though it won’t go up until the morning), and I need to turn my attention to finishing up my preparation for the workshops on Saturday – or perhaps I should sleep first!
