  1. Helpful in starting a business, but geared towards younger students

This course was helpful in regards to learning how to start a business! She gets you to think through everything carefully, and now I am much more confident in starting a business like I’ve been wanting to for a while. However, this course is very simple and doesn’t go very in-depth about enough things to make it be worth a high school course. It took me about 1-2 months to complete it, and for grade 12, it is definitely not going to pass for a credit. It is also pricey for the amount of material, although we got it on sale (which she extended specially for us, which was very nice). This is still a great course, and like I said, I am much more prepared to start a business, but you need to keep in mind that it will most likely have to be supplemented with some other business course to make it be worth a credit. I recommend it for elementary students!

    • So glad that you found the course helpful! Credit requirements vary by jurisdiction so I would always encourage prospective students to check their local rules. The course has been recognized as an elective credit in some cases, but that doesn’t mean that every institution will accept it.

Each student can work through the material in as much depth as suits them. I have had university students (and parents!) tell me how much they learned from the course as adults and how grateful they were to find something specific for Canadians because the cheaper US-based-sold-in-bulk courses had information that didn’t apply here. I’ve also had upper-elementary and middle school students who were able to digest the content and take action without getting overwhelmed, which was fantastic. And of course high school students have had positive feedback too, so we’ve run the full age gamut.

Thanks so much for your feedback – I really appreciate it!
